Pour célébrer son 83ème anniversaire, une statue de Larry Hagman (J.R Ewing) a été inauguré à Weatherford (Texas) où vivait l'acteur.
En présence, de ses enfants, Preston et Kristina, The Hagman Memorial Committee avait récolté 70 000$ pour financer l'oeuvre d'Art scuptée par Kelly Graham.
Portant ses bottes et son célèbre chapeau de cowboy, la statue est désormais posée au Doss Heritage and Culture Center à Weatherford.
